The Making of Lime + Plum Syrup

I like to make fruit jiuce by myself at home...
Why?
Because it's much cheaper than buy the drink from outside... haha...
This drink need lime, plum, plain water, and ice cube(optional).

Cut lime into half...Squeeze it to drip its lime juice...Prepare your plum...Add into the squeezed lime juice...Add with water(amount of water: as you like..)Ready to serve...One of my favourite drink...
Lime + Plum syrup. ^^

Complete album single ape format file into files

Do you have any ape music album file needed to be split into every single song files inside the album?

Here is a recommended cue splitter freeware.
Cue splitter can be downloaded from here.
But when using this program, and if you never been using Monkey's Audio before, you'll usually find this problem:
Which ask for a newer version of macdll.dll file. Of course you can easily found the download from google search or other search engine, the version of the dll file is not confirmed to be suitable version for this program.
Here is the usable macdll.dll file.
And then paste macdll.dll file into this directory, C:/window/system32/
as shown below.

because ape album file usually come with cue file with it.
The output of cue splitter is still ape file, other music file tool needed for conversion to preferred music file.
If you found any other better splitter, please give me a comment. thank you.. ^^
Have fun...

Generally used Lithium ion battery

Portable cordless power tools like laptop, cell phone, camera, mp3 device and so on are very common to everyone nowadays, so the need for rechargeable battery grown substantially recently. Almost all of our rechargeable batteries for those mentioned devices have replaced by lithium ion batteries.
Lithium-ion batteries have high energy density, lighter, can handle recharge/discharge cycles, low charge losses per month(around 5% per month of its charge only.)Lithium-ion battery packs are expensive, to make yours to last longer, here are some things to keep in mind:
  • Lithium ion chemistry prefers partial discharge to deep discharge, so it's best to avoid taking the battery all the way down to zero. Do not use up all the charge stored in the battery Since lithium-ion chemistry does not have a "memory", you do not harm the battery pack with a partial discharge. If the voltage of a lithium-ion cell drops below a certain level, it's ruined. Unlike Nickel-cadmium battery, they have no memory effect, which means that you do not have to completely discharge them before recharging.
"Memory Effect:
This is when the battery is continually recharged before it has discharged more than 50 percent of its power, causing it to essentially "forget" that it could fully discharge to begin with. Therefore, the battery can no longer store as much as its actual power capacity. Battery life shortened."
  • Lithium-ion batteries age. They only last two to three years, even if they are sitting on a shelf unused. So do not "avoid using" the battery with the thought that the battery pack will last five years. It won't. If you are buying a new battery pack, you want to make sure it really is new. If it has been sitting on a shelf in the store for a year, it won't last very long, because it degrade as soon as they leave factory. Manufacturing dates are important.
  • Avoid heat, which degrades the batteries. Lithium ion extremely sensitive to high temperatures. Heat causes lithium-ion battery packs to degrade much faster than they normally would.

Preserving Our Rechargeable Battery

Batteries come in many varieties, from lead acid, to nickel-cadmium, nickel metal hydride and lithium ion.
Every battery has its own Charge Storing Life Time, there's no battery, rechargeable or otherwise, will last forever. All batteries suffer from aging cells and the longer they are used, the less charge capacity they ultimately will have. Rechargeable batteries are still a great way to save money and reduce waste.
Recharging time is shortened sequentially from more than 10 hours to less than one hour.

First thing we are going to consider is "Rate of charge".
Rate of charge : quantity of electrical current is allowed into battery by your charger.
To preserve batteries' charge capacity, a good charger is needed to avoid over charge. Overcharging may occur when batteries charger has high charging rate. The quicker the rate of charge, the more chance there is of over charging, which can ruin a battery's chance of holding its charge. To avoid over charge, it's depend on ability to dissipate the charging current once maximum power has been reached. Most chargers have built-in voltage regulators do this, allowing you to safely leave your cell phone or computer plugged in overnight.

One common problem in nickel-cadmium rechargeable batteries is something known as the memory effect. This is when the battery is continually recharged before it has discharged more than 50 percent of its power, causing it to essentially forget that it could fully discharge to begin with. Memory effect is caused by the formation of hard-to-dissolve cadmium crystals deep within the battery. Cadmium crystals are an unavoidable by-product of discharge; the trick is to keep them small enough to be reformed as cadmium during the charging process. When a battery is not fully discharged, the crystals deep within the battery are not affected by the influx of electrical current, so they are not reformed as cadmium and can grow into the troublesome larger cadmium crystals. The battery will still function normally, but is maxed out at 50 percent. The memory effect can be avoided by fully cycling the battery once every two to three weeks by allowing it to discharge completely, and then fully recharge.

My case of swellen battery
This happened I left my phone charged while using it as a internet connection access point for my laptop at work.
I kept doing it for weeks, and the battery size was getting bigger than its original size.

And so the battery was recharged over again every once the power went one level lower than 'fully charged'(100%), and get it fully charged. This process repeated all over again until it became very hot, and swollen slowly until it's noticeable by my sense of touch, and it went more serious till my phone's back cover can never close/clip back well again.

In short, it's a lesson for me, and note for everyone else:
In order to preserve your electronic device's battery, good to avoid using it at recharging.
Best(but it's still a hearsay) recharging way is to get your device recharged at it fully turned off, it's condition where battery getting charges at lowest 'stress'.

SDHC is SD flash memory card?

You might have heard about Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) flash memory, do you know the differences between this SDHC and Secure Digital(SD) card?
Of course they do have big differences between them.
A card reader might not be able to read SDHC while work well for SD card, but it's already a past, many devices have become SDHC compatible nowadays. However, older SD compatible devices(example: digital camera) don't normally support SDHC card, so check the devices' memory card compatibility first before purchasing SDHC card.
The picture, show a SDHC card with 4GB capacity and the 4 within a circle implying it's class speed rating.
High capacity of SDHC is in the range of 4GB to 64GB or maybe higher in the future.
What is Class Speed Rating?
This is what developer can choose which data-writing speed specify to a card, so a garanteed minimum data transfer rate is fixed.
There are 3 classes, which is Class 2, Class 4 and Class 6.

Original Nokia Battery?

If you are thinking to buy a new Nokia hand phone battery then you should have some knowledge about non-original and original battery first.
In Malaysia, there are almost all the hand phone shop are selling ONLY non-original battery with original Nokia battery price (which usually cost around RM45), but no much people can recognize the differences between original and non-original batteries. This incident results in original battery is hard to be found/bought from all around the hand phone shops.

Why not non-original battery?
- Short battery life
- Not Safe (We don't know how's it designed)
- Easily damaged (when Overcharged)
- Low cost, but it costs as high as original batteries do

How to check whether our battery is original?
Visit Nokia to check it with the sticker pasted at your battery.

All these halogram labels can be bought with cheap price...
Right = original battery
Left = non-original battery

3D Visual sticker, dots around the small portion internal Nokia logo can be seen only "inside" the sticker. but non-original battery sticker has clear dots surrounding the NOKIA logo.

Unboxing of Dell Inspiron 1420

It's 2008, with the reach of my new Dell Inspiron 1420

My new laptop just sent to my hometown last and last Friday. I am so excited to own my very first laptop. I have been wishing for a laptop for so long time, and now, I finally got one with specs I want. ^^

hehehe... it's a backpack... quite big isn't it...
it's a backpack for 15.4' screen laptop, but mine only 14.1'... never mind lo.. just cost me RM50... ^^ worth still....
Inside the box:
spring green colour... some of the cds inside... and wires...
look at this, a lot cds right?
McAfee, drivers and utility and window vista basic sp1 cds...

It's in green apple colour.
of course all the green aren't look dull.
Brand new DELL... Inspiron 1420... ^^

My last new laptop image here to share...
can't wait to customize my laptop into my unique one!!!

(Text below was added on 21st Aug 2012)
Total price of this online customized specification: RM4000
Processor: Intel T9300 - 2.5GHz (duo core)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
RAM: 2GB

In 2008, this spec was considered as a quite high-end spec.
But the downside of this model of Dell is the graphic processor can bring harm to the whole motherboard as you can see it happens on almost every laptop of the same model.

That means, however you protect this laptop, it goes faulty one day, and you have to spend extra more for this laptop. And extending the warranty cost RM400 per year. And so far, I've spent RM1300 for the warranty, and so the total price of this laptop (together with the price of warranty I spent) is RM5300 (around US$1700).

I am regret of buying this model because with the same price, I can get a MacBook at the time i bought this laptop.
So, moral of this lesson, survey well before every is too late, otherwise, you'll regret. Control your desire, don't get controlled by it...

1st post for my brand new blog

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my brand-new blog! It’s been quite a while since my last post on Windows Live Space, and a lot has happened since then.

Just yesterday, I returned home from the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) in Johor. The journey was long—I left UTM at 7:15 PM and didn’t get home until 1 AM on Saturday—but it was well worth it.

My first month at UTM has been nothing short of exciting. I’ve had the pleasure of living and learning alongside a group of wonderful friends. Their names are too many to list here, but their impact on my daily life is significant. We’ve shared countless conversations and had many fun moments together—yes, we sometimes go a little crazy, but that’s all part of the fun!

Our lecturers seem to enjoy teaching just as much as we enjoy learning. As computer science students, we tend to grasp new concepts quickly, which makes each class engaging and interactive—a true win-win situation!

One of the highlights of coming home, though, has been escaping the not-so-great food at UTM. For the next week, I get to enjoy my mom’s cooking, which is a treat I’ve been looking forward to.

Looking ahead, I have a mid-term break filled with study sessions for two upcoming tests and five assignments. Even with a busy schedule, I find life exciting and full of reasons to stay motivated.

How about you? What were your first impressions if you’ve ever been away for school or a long course? Let’s share and reflect on our experiences in the comments below!

Thank you for reading, and I look forward to sharing more stories with you.
